Happy 9th Birthday Satchamoose

A very happy 9th birthday to my boy, the Satchamoose. I love you dearly.

And to the rest of the gang - Justin, Zack, Burnette, and the two Tickles.

SATCHEL: ALL FOUR SEASONS

With his smile as sweet as a warn wind in summer;
He's got me flying like a bird in a bright June sky.
And then just when I think that I've got his number;
He brings me back to the ground with his wintry eyes.
That's my Satchie;
He can be all four seasons in one day.

And when the night time comes with no interference;
To our warm summer love with all its charms;
But like a thoroughbred horse he can turn on a sixpence;
And I find that I'm back in Mister Winter's arms.
That's my Satchie;
He can be all four seasons in one day.

How will I know?
How can I tell?
Which side of the bed he takes when the day begins?
He can be kind; maybe even cruel.
He's got me guessing like a game show fool.

Well he can change his mind like he changes bibs;
From one minute to the next it's hard to tell.
He blows hot and cold just like stormy weather;
He's my gift from the Lord or a fiend from hell.
That's my Satchie;
He can be all four seasons in one day.

Watching the weatherman's been no good at all;
Winter, spring, summer, I'm bound for a fall.
There are no long term predictions for my Satchie;
He can be all four seasons in one day.

So if it's a sunny day, I take my umbrella;
Just in case his raindrops start to fall.
And you could say that I'm just a cautious fellow;
But I don't want to be caught in a sudden squall.
That's my Satchie;
He can be all four seasons in one day.

Yes, that's my Satchie;
And I wouldn't have him any other way.

I am sure Sting does not mind you co-opting his lyrics...guess it's a good thing he doesn't run around threatening people with lawsuits in Federal Court for copyright violation.

Actually, he is an old friend of mine from the 1970's and has no problem whatsoever. Kind of you to be so concerned, however.

Wow, that's impressive, since you were barely a teenager and he was in college and then a school teacher in Newcastle during the 70's...did you grow up in England? Was he your teacher at St. Paul's?

1976, the year I traveled Europe and played on the qualifier circuit. I was 18; he was beginning with what would become The Police and playing both in Newcastle and London. But you would not know that, or much else. You know who I am; why don't you post your real name. Coward?

Of course, Marylou Hoffman Zimmerman, not all of us have you stellar credentials. As you put it, you are "a cradle catholic who is now a practicing pagan who lives on an Indian reservation where the prevailing religion is nativist and who is married to a jew with children who are agnostic."

Happy belated birthday, Satchie. I am sorry your birthday wishes were tainted by a troll. You're truly far mor deserving than that.

One 's time is so much better expended on what matters most about this breed instead of stalking a blog to post trite, ill intended barbs at a dog's owner. It never ceases to amaze me how a breed so noble and tolerant can be under the guardianship of some so spiteful and ugly.
I think I'd leave these setting right where they are so that you can monitor what is being (or wanting to be) added in your comments. Pity..

Steve, you have a pagan, nativist "friend". Keep the witches at bay, lol.
